I love David Tibet's voice so much. I cannot believe that people continually praise Dead (that there happy-chap of a former Mayhem vocalist) for his "possessed" vocal quality while David Tibet still breathes.

A lengthy, by grind standards, slab of archetypal grindcore at its best. Surprisingly enough, speed and grind-fuckyness are not stressed as much as the development of the riffs and vocal placement, although that is not to say that the drummer cannot blast like a chaingun.

Their 8-or so minute EP, At War with Grindcore, is also stellar. It brings the grind-fuckyness.

Lately I've been on a bit of a Québecois black metal kick...it started after I returned from Montréal from the Monarque show last weekend.

I'm disappointed that I never got to see Miserere Luminis play live, and I will never get the chance to because the band exists no more.

Regardless, I'm really loving their self-titled album. It has a very introspective quality to it.

This is one of those bands that for me personally, is strange but likeable. The eerie vocals and synthesizers create this atmosphere of tension and unease.

Still, what I wouldn't give to see this band play a live show....on a side note, they've just released a new EP called Sigil Sessions.
